Possession of Crystal Meth Lawyer in Hunterdon County NJ

Being charged with a criminal offense like the possession of methamphetamine’s is a very serious criminal offense in New Jersey and should not be taken lightly. Methamphetamine’s are also known as Crystal Meth, Crystal, Ice, Glass, Crank, Meth and Speed. All possession of crystal meth charges will be governed by NJSA 2C:35-10a(1), which is the same section of the criminal code that covers most other drug offenses in New Jersey.  All crystal meth possession charges will be considered third degree felony offenses in New Jersey. That is regardless of whether the Defendant possessed a trace amount or a five grams, provided the quantity was less than 1/2 ounce. Charged with the Distribution of Crystal Meth NJ?

If the Defendant is charged with distributing crystal meth, possessing crystal meth with the intent to distribute or the manufacturing crystal meth in New Jersey, they will be facing either a first, second or third degree felony offense. The quantity of the crystal meth possessed will dictate what degree a Defendant is charged with. With that being said, if the incident occurs within a school zone or a public park then Defendant will be facing additional charges as well.
