Heroin & Weapons Charges Issued for Manville NJ

According to nj.com, Somerset County Prosecutor, Michael Robertson, has announced that they have arrested and charged a fifty-six (56) year old man from Manville, New Jersey with possession of heroin with the intent to distribute. Based on the information that has been released at this point in time, local authorities have been investigating the Defendant for allegedly distributing drugs, specifically heroin, out of his Manville home for the last several months. Based on the investigation, the Manville detectives were able to obtain a search warrant the Defendant’s home. On September 27, 2017, the search warrant was executed and located inside the home was 221 bags of heroin, a Taser, a heroin stamper, scales and over $5,000 in cash.  As a result of their findings, the Defendant was arrested and formally charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a weapon while committing a drug offense. The Defendant was taken to the Somerset County jail where he is pending a Detention Hearing. During the detention hearing, the Somerset County Prosecutor’s office will be seeking to detain the Defendant in the county jail, without bail, pending trail.

As you can see, the Somerset County prosecutor’s office, along with the Bound Brook and Manville police department are aggressively investigating and will eventually be prosecuting anyone and everyone they feel is involved with heroin.
